Lead engineer for preliminary and conceptual design of aircraft engine components
Essential Responsibilities:
- Consistent project execution with minimal or no supervision to meet program timelines, quality, customer satisfaction
- Provide guidance to young engineers on project execution
- Structural, Thermal, Non-linear, Dynamic (modal & cyclic symmetry) analyses using ANSYS / LSDYNA / NASTRAN softwares. Solid modeling using Unigraphics software and cater to product development process.
- Evolve FE Analysis methodology independently and validate with hand calculations/theoretical formulations.
- Leads business critical analysis investigation/s. Demonstrate innovative problem solving skills leading to timely issue resolution. Network with technical experts to execute with speed. Apply learning from past projects/experiences effectively.
- Active development/usage of engineering productivity tools in projects

- 4+ years of experience in conceptual design by analysis of various aircraft engine components for new generation engines
- Proficiency in application of ANSYS, HYPERMESH, LSDYNA and Unigraphics software
- In-depth understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to meet stringent deadlines and commitments
- Proactive and innovative nature
- Exposure to FAA regulations and aerospace industry
- Exposure to Design For Six Sigma tools and techniques
- Exposure to manufacturing and testing processes of metallic and composite aircraft parts
- Strong background in mechanical design in aerospace/any engineering industry
- Experience in hardware design ownership
- Understanding of GD&T concepts
