Infrastructure Technician

Job Description

The Infrastructure Technician will work with the Infrastructure Team to support the operations and backend of web based products for FlightNetwork.com and its associated websites across multiple data centers. This individual is an experienced Linux administrator with strong networking experience. Above all, this technician must be a thinker that is passionate about service and eager to learn about any technology.

Required Skills:

• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
• Expert knowledge of Linux operating systems with 5+ years experience as a Linux System Administrator
• Expert networking knowledge with 5+ years of network administration experience including VPNs, firewalls and load balancing
• Expert knowledge of Apache web server, SSL, DNS, Perl, Shell Scripting
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies including VDI.
• Experience with SANs and other network storage technologies
• Passionate about the web and Internet business
• Experience working with databases such as PostGreSQL
• Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with multi-locational teams across countries, cultures and time zones.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Candidate must be willing to work off hours and on some holidays during emergency situations
