Business Development Executive - Luxury Hotels & Resorts, Bangalore!!!

Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW :
The key objective of the role is to develop business for a boutique luxury resort in Karnataka among the Domestic Travel Agency, Inbound Tour Operators & Corporate segment. This is a dedicated business development role which requires being in the field and meeting people over 70% of the time supported by excellent communication skills. You will also support the management team to cover related sales management & sales administrative functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • SALES-  Develop and maintain a pipeline of room business for the White Sky member hotel/resort
  • SALES-  Develop and implement sales action plans for Travel Agencies and Corporate clients
  • SALES-  Have an ongoing system to manage and develop long term relationships with various inbound tour operators across the country
  • SALES-  Cold calling as necessary
  • SALES - Attend networking events, seminars and tradeshows
  • SALES ADMINISTRATION-   Work with the White Sky reservations team to receive and respond to enquiries where necessary including group bookings
  • SALES ADMINISTRATION - Maintaining records of all clients and business activities in the dedicated CRM on a day to day basis
  • COMMUNICATION - Answering telephone enquiries & making calls where necessary
  • RESEARCH-  Identify new target client profiles and develop action plans to reach them
  • ADMINISTRATION - Office coverage where required

  • Salary of Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 30,000 per month based on experience
  • On Target Earnings (OTE) of up to Rs. 45,000 a month through sales incentives

Desired Candidate Profile

Education:
UG - Any Graduate - Any Specialization
PG - MBA/PGDM - Any Specialization, Post Graduation Not Required
Doctorate - Doctorate Not Required

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :
  • At least one year of hospitality/travel sales experience
  • Very good communication skills with spoken, & written English
  • Familiar with day to day technology, internet, internet telephony like Skype, word processing software like Word, Powerpoint etc

OTHERS:
  • Having a valid Indian driving license will be ideal.
  • Location of office is near Commercial Street, Bangalore
  • Work times will be from 9.30 am to 6.30 pm 5 days a week. Saturdays from 9.30 am to 1.30pm
